Tahsili Consort IV

Lusive Tunes     2000

Just what does ‘Lusive’ mean,  why are Eric, Bobby & RichardOut to Lunch,’  and  will they really be back in about 15 minutes?  Listen closely if you want to find out.  Correction - listen closely even if you don’t want to find out.

Tahsili Consort continues its musical adventure with Tahsili Consort IV.  Some say this is our best CD.  (I tend to think that the one I'm listening to at the time is the best one.)  Certainly the group asks more of the listener here.  Also, the addition of violin and cello on a few of the tracks adds a new color and texture to our sound.

I contributed more solo piano improvisations to this CD than to any of the previous releases, primarily because it has become harder to get the group together to record.  However, I still think of these pieces as Tahsili Consort pieces, because the playing was done in the context and under the influence of the group recordings.  Just think of the rest of the group as performing very quietly.

Joining Tahsili Consort Lusively are:

                  Ted Bruchel          Violin

                   Beth Curdel          Flute
